This question begs a deep and comprehensive understanding of the ideological shift that has been occurring in the west and the cultural westernization in the east.
Ideological Shift in the West
Back in the 70s during the cold war there was a common sense about the ideology of communism that resulted in the sober reality of the ever present military and nuclear threat from any communist regime that would be aloud the opportunity to develop military and nuclear capabilities. We understood the regime to be loyal to not only the preservation of communism but ultimately the conquest of neighboring territories. This loyalty was understood to be as a priority above the lives and well being of the governed. While a realistic grasp of previous and current communistic regimes was enough to keep us sober in Europe and the United States, it absolutely no longer is today.
Several well experienced military veterans from the highest ranks, in the last 5 years, had warned us publicly about the dangers of expanding NATO eastward toward Russia. They full well understood the difference between the ruling class and the class being ruled. They understood that communism was not just an economic system but a full fledged religion, one that seeks to eliminate any antipathy from individuals, and encroachment by foreign entities. The sober reality of an intrinsic morality that rejects any deviant behavior from an absolute loyalty to the regime is a serious threat to the governed, much less those foreign entities deemed to have any influence on the culture of those under the regime. The absolute belief that individual freedom is immoral and always leads to a moral decay of society is a binding ideology that motivates the ruling class. These veterans were not fooled by Putin’s outreach to the outside world. This was only motivated by economic survival. As several mainstream media pundits suggested that Putin’s mental status should be questioned, they have no grasp of the total lack of understanding of the reality of the situation and the ideological shift they have unknowingly navigated.
I would guarantee you that any WWII veteran could tell you that most of our citizens today are not cognizant of the mainstream shift from appreciating the absolute freedoms granted by the US Constitution to a hazy belief that we are bound by our quest for democracy. This shift was and is an intentional indoctrination by our public school and college educators. It is on the basis of this myth that they have been lead to desire a socialist economic system. At the very moment that they became convinced that they are loyal citizens of the United States because they embrace democracy and not our constitutional freedoms, they totally invalidated every veteran sacrifice for the United States. They had instantly been made naive to the human nature of the quest for power and control. They now believe that as long as the majority stands against the constitution it is acceptable to override it, to misinterpret it, and to render it irrelevant for the sake of the ‘common good’. In that instant they have given up the common good of constitutional freedom for whatever freedoms or lack there of the ruling party declares. They now believe that there is a balance between individual freedom and socialism that can render them a better quality of life. They have no idea that they are confiscating genuine guaranteed constitutional freedom for many generations to come and most likely forever. When was the last time a socialist regime yielded their power to a document? This is exactly the extreme to which the mainstream in the US has navigated to. They have sold their guaranteed constitutional rights for the promises of the current ruling party. Their ever present government candy man has promised to guarantee them a life. Our children’s naivete has been taken advantage of as they give up their motivation to learn and earn without envy for others who study and work harder by choice. They have no idea what it will cost them. Only those who have paid the cost by having been born in a totalitarian state fully understand what this ideological shift will cost them. These costs are just starting to be imposed as I write. Americans, if not awakened sufficiently, will experience the fastest decline in their freedoms and standard of living as they never have. This will dwarf every previous economic depression. There will be a huge sentiment of remorse and resentment. They will blame just those who warned them of their political and economic orientation. Communist dictators believe that it is through the quest for power and control that they maintain the religion of communism amongst their people. Their understanding of human nature is completely antithetical to the constitutional conservative. They cannot examine history and explain why freedom has progressed the world through the individual. They believe that it is the individual that needs to be contained for the sake of the ‘common good’. And as they define what that common good is, they struggle decade after decade to grant their people economic stability and hope for their future.
Unbeknownst to our young people today, genuine freedom is not a matter of degree. It is either respected or it is not. To the degree that it has been respected, the world has profited in terms of economic and technological progress. What totalitarian regime has shown the world otherwise? Because of its inherent value to the world, genuine freedom must always be protected and defended. This begs the United States a complete resurgence of genuine education and a reorientation of what it means to be a citizen of a constitutional republic, not just a democracy.
To the absolute surprise of the United Nations, the world has not progressed from the threat of Communism and nuclear world war. The UN security Counsel has failed the Ukrainians. The largely socialist organization has become powerless in the face of the current threat to the world from Putin and his war machine. The Biden administration totally committed to the global movement hamstrung by the need to act only in collaboration with NATO can only stand by while civilians in Russia and Ukraine are being killed needlessly.
Had the UN become a beacon of education on the reality of genuine constitutional freedom vs totalitarianism it might have succeeded as they would have been on the side of universal truth and logic. That would have taken a particular kind of courage that the US had demonstrated over and over again. Instead, they capitulated to recognizing totalitarian regimes that commit humanitarian crimes on a regular basis, much less recognize any sort of individual rights and freedoms. Therein they limited their ability to realize their goals for the foreseeable future, most likely forever. The only path left is to seek power and control themselves. Hence the global movement. When informed that the United States would not take part in the global movement they all laughed at Donald Trump. In so doing they also laughed at all the brave soldiers around the world that gave their lives for the sake of just those freedoms. So what rises to the top of a totalitarian regime are those hungry for power and control. In the United States, the leaders that rise to the top in defense of our constitution are those that see the necessity to sacrifice their personal comfort and stability for the sake of the common individual. In contrast, those that seek power and control can only seek the support of the minority class, those that vote according to their race and gender. As the US Constitution was written to support and defend the individual, it is in essence an antithetical document to such leadership.
Cultural Westernization in the East
With the proliferation of the internet in the last three to four decades and social media in the last decade, no eastern industrial nation could possibly prevent the enormous influence of western culture on the individual in the east. More and more young people in totalitarian countries are starting to realize that they are living in an over restricted society unnecessarily. The ruling parties are making stronger and stronger efforts to maintain their loyalty by coercion and fearmongering. If the leader and people of Ukraine can understand this, may be it is because they have not been so powerfully indoctrinated as our own here in the US. If anyone noticed, those that are standing up are demanding our constitutional freedoms, not socialism. The Russian people themselves while protesting against war are actually protesting for the right to protest and speak against the government. No one bent on breaking out of jail risks it all to wind up in a more relaxed jail. They finally realize that our constitutional freedoms are the only genuine freedoms. That is why political refugees had sought and favored the United States up until recently. Now, they weigh the cost of seeking refugee status in the US with all the worsening societal problems we are demonstrating to the world daily. Television and movies now focus on promoting the globalization of American society. As a result, Europe has become an acceptable destination, until they cannot find acceptable employment. Several countries bordering Ukraine have had their cultures westernized. Poland, Hungary, and Moldova are but a few. The leaders of each have recently proclaimed their alignment with the west in terms of individual freedom and national sovereignty.
With every world wide crisis be it a pandemic or a war, we see those individuals who are willing to risk their own safety and security for the hope of freedom for their fellow humans, yes, even in those very ‘stable’ socialist countries that our liberals hold up as examples of societal success. We in the United States were once the leaders of this moral stature. Just recently, our neighboring Canadians have shown this not to be the case any longer, yet not having the legal documentation that we do. President Zelensky is one of those individuals, inspiring his whole country to fight for their independence. How is it with all the propaganda Russia has thrown at them, that the Ukrainians have so deeply assimilated the value of individual freedom and national sovereignty? Just as Russia had used social media as a platform of influence, so have the people themselves. The reason that freedom had succeeded so powerfully is that individuals are the greatest power of influence against false propaganda and indoctrination efforts. The people of Ukraine have learned that you as an individual can make a crucial difference if you understand the value you bring to humanity by courageously defending and protecting, relentlessly teaching and explaining the truth and logic of individual freedom and national sovereignty, which they had been doing since their last violent revolution of 2014. Up until 3 weeks ago, they were prepared to confront a possible Russian incursion of a logical scale. Zelensky himself did not see the prudence of alarming his people during the Russian build up that had been occurring for months. He was confident that Putin was after conquering the remainder of the Donbas region. He couldn’t understand why Biden was so alarmed on the very day the voting rights bill failed. During the days following, there were attacks in the region that no one has yet confirmed their origin, about who actually carried out the attacks. Zelensky denied responsibility and assumed the Russians were doing this to justify their military incursion into the region. As the Russian troops were ordered to advance beyond the Donbas into Ukraine proper, they were also confused as to exactly why. NATO and the European Union were also surprised by the gross escalation of the offensive. Putin’s sanity was called into question by leaders within the European Union. Here in the United States, President Biden was seen to be delayed in his response, then when he actually enacted the economic sanctions, he admitted they would take “a long time” to exert any kind of pressure upon Putin. So why the delay? This, because he knew that Putin was definitely going to invade, most likely on a more aggressive scale than most of the rest of the world expected. He knew that sanctions is all that he would have as a punitive measure. There would be no sense in using sanctions as a deterrent if there was foreknowledge within a number of days that the invasion would take place regardless. Zelensky, although taken by surprise, knew that he had the support of the people in the free world. Yet he had no idea that the entire free world would be hamstrung in its ability to come to his defense. After weeks of military escalation, the “free world” is still hamstrung.
Let me tell you why. There is a higher power in the room calling the shots! The global elites have hijacked the United States into giving up its sovereign autonomy to rescue a people’s freedom without unnecessarily risking a nuclear world war. It is the global elites that are holding Biden accountable to exclusively collaborating with NATO. That is why any response or message that comes out of the White House includes the phrases “in full collaboration with our allies”, ” …with our partners abroad”, ” …with NATO”. Our veterans are so frustrated that thousands have taken it upon themselves to go fight, this time without our government’s financial support and the US military to support them and their families. We were able to intervene in Syria simply because we were not exclusively glued to NATO. Putin, regarding himself as the defender of communism, in his sense of geopolitical dynamics, after having been provoked in Ukraine by the special military ops of an unknown third party, realized that while the geopolitical guard dog of freedom is restrained, he now has the best chance of reclaiming the former Soviet Union for the moral purpose of maintaining the purity and effectiveness of his communism and thereby his leadership power ultimately. Once the Ukrainian people started firing back, he immediately regarded them as a true immoral threat and a necessary cost to overtaking the territory. He has always considered the former Soviet Union as a necessary territory to protect and isolate the Russian people from being influenced by western ideology.
The Global Elites Are Desperate to Squelch the Pursuit of Individual Freedom and National Sovereignty
The global elites are threatened by true national sovereignty. They are desperately committed to global control of trade, economics, and security, security against threats to their goals and objectives. In this scenario, it is the very people seeking national sovereignty that were supposed to be the losers. The elites were definitely surprised by the ability of the Ukrainians to hold off Russia’s military. The leaders of the two largest industrialized countries are acting against the economic and best interests of their own people. The media can’t seem to make sense of why this is happening. How can the leaders of the two largest powers in the world be acting in completely illogical manners?
The elites are threatened by anything which enables the distribution of oil and gas and holds prices low. Russia was about to have greater economic security by the oil pipeline with Europe. It would have been plausible that a military conflict with Ukraine could threaten the start of operations of the Nordstream II pipeline scheduled to be started 5 months from now. The US had already self-imposed the economic hardship of runaway inflation due to unnecessary spending on several types of welfare not actually sanctioned by the people. Now with the our dependence on foreign oil again, any threat against oil production raises the cost of our gas. Now, we are committed to financially supporting the Russians by continuing to purchase their oil unnecessarily, while refusing to produce more of our own oil and gas, further increasing the cost of gas and fueling inflation. This will prove to be a tremendous economic hardship for most people in the US. How does it affect the power elites in Washington, DC? It gives them a tremendous opportunity to force people into buying electric cars, which more and more of them in DC seem to be able to afford. How does this affect the elites personally? Well, interest rates rising in the last few days and promising to rise as inflation soars, will definitely increase the value of their financial assets, further increasing their financial and political power around the world.
So, once again, as the pandemic crisis is subsiding, coincidentally, we have another equally threatening one, this time a military one which is also promising to last several years, as our CIA has just made publicly known. Since when has our CIA gone public with its intelligence gathering. To most relatively informed citizens, this is not intelligence at all, but logical threat assessments given that we all know anyway. Since when has our CIA cared about what we think unless they have just assumed the role of influencing what we think. I would love to know that our CIA was dedicated and prioritized to the sovereignty of our country and the welfare and security of our own citizens. We would want them to act according to their intelligence, not ours. I certainly do not want them to be in the business of engaging in a public relations ploy about who is doing what to us.
Any party with enough money and coordination can persuade totalitarian regimes to act against the best interests of their own people if it benefits their retention of political power. Our democratic party and this present administration have proven to be such a regime. By the financial investments of these elites, the most despotic regimes are gaining control in the world and the most truly representative of their people are losing. The world will suffer an overall economic decline as the power and control over the individual continues to progress. Just today, the supposed leader of the free world, president Biden, shared his interest in the federal reserve establishing a national digital currency and imposing regulatory power on the cryptocurrencies that have been a vehicle for private investment. This is no coincidence while at the same time the US dollar is threatened to remain as the reserve currency of the world. The individual’s financial management is about to be commandeered by the federal government through the federal reserve. No one can predict as to how much behavioral control this could lead to.
What Can We Do To Turn This Around?
Increase the awareness of the public around the world by disclosing the layers of deception imposed upon them to control their loyalties and behavior. Inform the world about the difference between the actions of our government and the values of the American people. Inform the public around the world about how a more despotic, much more powerful global elite are conspiring to gain a tremendous amount of control over the behavior of the individual in every country around the world. Just as the Canadian truckers struck a universal nerve, so can the ordinary person anywhere in the world. Explain to the migrants of the world how they are being used to promote government centralization just so they could become the enslaved workers of their economies. Explain to them how their children will have less and less financial and religious autonomy. In the United States, what divides the people is no longer race or religion. It is the dedication to the genuine interpretation of the Constitution, which allows them to prioritize their loyalty to God and family. In other countries it is simply the visceral need for personal freedoms and the understanding of human nature to relinquish them out of fear. This is what now divides the real world.
Against many expert opinions, this is a winnable culture war, one that begs the best of our leadership and civility, one that compels a parent to pull their children out of the public school, that compels a healthcare worker to inform their coworkers the reason for the religious exemption from government mandated vaccination, that compels the college student to inform his friends about the patriotic duty to criticize an overreaching government, that compels the pastor to criticize the government as it seeks to suppress the freedom of speech and religious exercise. If our older generation does not stand up now, they will be forever blamed by our grand children for the loss of their freedoms.
But if we do, we will be forever appreciated for standing up for them while they were yet inexperienced and vulnerable, whether we win or not. Today, as the Ukrainians full well understand, we have a winning chance to allow freedom to win. Why? Because it still makes the most sense to the most informed people in the world. All we need is to have the courage to give people the credit to understand what it is all about.
